Employee Assistance Program

The Pioneer Valley Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides an array of services to employees through contracts with their employers. The program offers free, confidential assistance to all member organizations’ employees and their immediate family members in offices throughout the Pioneer Valley.  Short-term counseling is available to help employees resolve problems that can affecting their personal lives and job performance. These problems may include the persistence of emotions which create difficulty with mood, physical health, or relationships. Some people use EAP services toaddress workplace issues, such as conflicts with co-workers or anger management. The program also offers training and support to managers and supervisors in dealing with employee issues such as poor performance, morale, supervisory skills, team building, and discriminatory harassment. The EAP offers fast, effective, professional assistance with the goal of helping workers resolve their problems so that they can feel their best and understand what they need to do to sustain that positive change.

Our clinical staff is a diverse group of highly experienced, masters-level, licensed mental health professionals. We understand the importance of having clinicians available in a variety of office locations, and with specific areas of expertise. The EAP’s services focus on the individual employee, offering the opportunity to speak openly and receive private, professional support, assessment, and problem-resolution counseling. We see individuals, couples, families, and workplace groups. In the event of a critical incident, we will come on-site to organizations to be available to affected employees. Our clinical consulting staff are knowledgeable about local resources. If specialized assistance is needed, they will provide additional information and referral services. The EAP also offers consultation and trainings in employee management issues to managers and supervisors.
